Welcome

Important note: Only use this portal to complete applications submitted before March 1st, 2023. Please use our new conservation portal to create new indoor and outdoor rebate applications.

Residential Landscape Rebate (requires pre-approval)

CVWD is offering a rebate for eligible residential customers who convert spray-irrigated green or golden brown grass (with full thatch attached) to desert friendly landscaping with a minimum of 25% plant canopy at maturity. The Residential Landscape Rebate incentive pays the actual cost, up to $3.00 per square foot of turf removed up to a maximum of 10,000 square feet which equates to a maximum of $30,000 for new landscape conversion projects. Artificial turf projects also qualify under this rebate program. Customers are eligible to apply for additional landscape rebates to remove up to 10,000 square feet of turf each program year (July 1-June 30). If you previously converted part of your yard, you may want to reapply for another rebate.

Smart Controller Installation

CVWD will install a free smart irrigation controller to help you reduce your water use and better manage your irrigation schedule. The smart controller automatically adjusts your irrigation based on the weather. We will install and program the controller at no charge to you.

Residential Rotary Nozzle Rebate (requires pre-approval)

Not ready to convert your turf to desert landscape? Consider replacing less efficient traditional fixed or adjustable arc spray nozzles used for watering lawns to high-efficiency rotary nozzles and receive a rebate of $4 per installed nozzle up to 500 nozzles, which equates up to a maximum of $2,000 for upgrading your system. High-efficiency rotary nozzles apply water more slowly and uniformly to lawns preventing misting and overwatering which can cause runoff.  Because the water is applied more slowly, more water is able to soak into the soil.

Restrictions apply and requirements must be met for each program so be sure to read the Program and Process Guidelines and the Terms and Conditions for more information. The Program Resources, Frequently Asked Questions and Study Guide sections of this website may also help you get started with your project.
